Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most often, answered straight. Don't see yours? Get in touch — we read every email.
Do you serve patients outside of Kents Store?
We're based in Kents Store but serve the broader rural Virginia region through in-person visits and telehealth appointments. Our goal is to bring coordinated care to communities that often struggle to access specialists.
What services does COMMONSHARE offer?
We provide primary care, specialty care coordination, telehealth visits, care management for chronic conditions, and preventive services all in one place. We work with community partners to make sure you get the right care at the right time.
How do I schedule my first appointment?
Contact our office directly and we'll get you set up with an initial visit—either in person or via telehealth, depending on what works best for you. During that first visit, we'll learn about your health history and build a personalized care plan together.
What should I expect during my first visit?
We'll spend time understanding your health goals, current conditions, and any concerns you have. You'll meet with a provider who listens and works with you to create a treatment plan that fits your life.
How does pricing work at COMMONSHARE?
We accept most major insurance plans and work with patients on payment options for any out-of-pocket costs. We're transparent about fees upfront so there are no surprises.
Can I do telehealth visits instead of coming in person?
Absolutely—telehealth is a core part of how we deliver care, especially for follow-ups and routine visits. We'll help you decide whether an in-person or virtual visit makes the most sense for your needs.
